Imagine a world that uplift and supports its people. A world that aids the individual, community, and globally shared spaces thrive. This world is fully within our reach and is so now more than ever. In order to improve our collective world, we need to continue making informed decisions regarding the full life cycle or interconnected ecology. How we design our towns and cities around our individual and societal needs, construct multi-functional shared spaces, and allocate the resources we both use and discard, all determine the health and vitality of the world we live in.

The way our current systems have been implemented and designed, lead often to the direct degradation of vital resources and the destruction of countless species, including humankind. Humanity holds both immense responsibility and capacity to support all fellow human beings and species on our planet. These innate systems that govern our world, however destructive, are not “set in stone” and can be redesigned and reimplemented to work beneficially for everyone. We must now readjust and redirect ourselves toward more sustainable solutions across the board and on all levels, starting with a circular economy and collaboration-based approach. In utilizing our ability to adapt modern methodologies and technologies in creative ways to address modern challenges, we may consciously build communities that support human preference, comfortability, safety, beauty, and functionality.

Our collective future requires systems focused on greater longevity and support for one another, all while maintaining and replenishing the planet’s natural resources. Many alternative materials such as hemp, mushrooms, and seaweeds have remained staple sources of viable sustainability and have been utilized throughout humanity’s refinement for many ages. Modern technological innovation and redefined application for these materials, as well as many others, are allowing for more expansive systemic change in the ways we collectively consider and utilize our valuable resources. Additionally, traditional understanding and techniques may be applied in conjunction with modern technological advancements, effectively creating an immense potential for creative transformation.

These developments, such as being able to turn waste into reusable materials and fuels, utilization of biodegradable end-products and packaging, sustainable fashion and infrastructure, and others all contribute to improving our collective quality of life. The time for radical change is now. Neotraditional Alternatives aims to support humanity through addressing the full life cycle of outmoded industry, pollution, and waste so that superior alternative solutions may lead to a superior collective world.
